Week before Thanksgiving

WOW!! Is it already almost Thanksgiving?? How is that possible?

We will be finalizing our speeches for our Living Museum. Hoping (and crossing fingers/toes) that we can plan on the museum before Christmas. I am going to work HARD to make this happen!

READING-- Wednesday November 14- Tuesday November 20

This will be a short week for this story but it is still the skill of "Drawing Conclusions." We should have no trouble! The spelling will be all plurals and it is an easy skill, as well. (Shhh!! Don't tell---For a "Thanksgiving Gift" I am not adding a vocabulary quiz to their schedule. The only vocab test will be the one on the reading quiz).

This week we are reading “The Great Kapok Tree” by Lynne Cherry.  We will focus on some vocabulary words in this story.  It would be helpful if you will reinforce the meaning of these words at home with your child.  Also, on this post you will find our spelling words for the week.  Please practice these words at home as well.  The words in italics are our challenge spelling words.  Let’s have a great week!
