Thanks to a generous donation from Southern Orthopedics, the fourth graders at West Jasper attended Camp McDowell for a 3 day/2 night adventure. The outdoor classroom opportunities ranged from Native Americans to Canoeing to Macro Organisms of Ponds and Streams. We also explored the wildlife of Alabama, viewing corn snakes, red tailed hawks, and barn owls. Eating family style each day, singing songs around campfires, and scaring away "GRASSHOPPERS" was the most amazing experience we've ever had. Our lives have been changed!
