March 13-20

READING:

Marven of the Great North Woods

This week we are reading “Marven of the Great North Woods” by Kathryn Lasky.  We will focus on some vocabulary words in this story.  It would be helpful if you will reinforce the meaning of these words at home with your child.  Also, on this post you will find our spelling words for the week.  Please practice these words at home as well.  The words in italics are our challenge spelling words.  Let’s have a great week!

MATH:

We are finishing up Fractions and our Topics thru 13. We should be able to simplify, add, subtract, compare, and order fractions. The students should know the relationship between fractions and decimals to the 10ths. Keep Practicing!
