Christmas Cook Out

We had so much fun at Mrs. Evans' home for our Christmas party and cook out! Ms. Heard led us in a game of "Dirty Santa", we played football, and ate yummy burgers that Mr. Evans grilled for us.

We hope that everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We will resume school on January 3rd!

All the Boys engaged in a fierce game of football in the front yard

Girls all piled in the kitchen for their dinner

SOOOO many boys! Enjoying their spread in the living room with Sports Center on the TV

Digging through the gifts

Time Capsule!

Today, the 4th grade buried their time capsule in recognition of 12/12. They brought items like trophies, tshirts, ticket stubs, and even wrote notes to themselves.  We will open the capsule when this group are Seniors in high school (2020!).

Thank you to Evans Welding for the creation of the capsule and digging the hole!

Living Museum

Famous Alabamians Living Museum

4th Grade celebrates the lives of famous Alabamians in our state's history. They each dressed as their Alabamian, memorized important facts, and shared them with our visitors as they walked through our "Living Museum."

"Nat King Cole" shares his life with 1st grade teacher, Melanie Turner.

"Lurleen and George Wallace" tell their story to family and friends.

Dr. Sparkman meets "Autherine Lucy" as he stops by the Living Museum of WJS 4th grade.
